Swindon man robbed at knifepoint

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint in Swindon last night.

The man was walking through the underpass close to the Ferndale Road gas works at 6.30pm when two men approached him with a bread knife.

One man, described as white, 20-25years old, skinny and wearing shorts and a turquoise vest top, told the victim to hand over all his possessions.

The man then cycled away on a mountain bike with his accomplice, described as white with dark hair and wearing pink clothes, in the direction of Cheney Manor.

Anyone with information should contact Swindon CID on 0845 408 7000 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
