A HOST of Hollywood movie stars have been in north Wiltshire this week as Castle Combe and RAF Lyneham were transformed into film sets.

Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and Sienna Miller all feature in the fantasy romance Stardust, being filmed in Castle Combe, while on Sunday action man Sean Bean was at Lyneham shooting scenes for a new production, Outlaw.

Castle Combe has been transformed into a fairytale village from the Victorian era, and actress Sienna Miller, the on-off girlfriend of Jude Law, has been spotted filming scenes in period costume.

She plays the romantic interest, Victoria, in the film directed by Matthew Vaughn, husband of supermodel Claudia Schiffer.

Meanwhile RAF Lyneham was used to film scenes from Outlaw because the base is home to Britain's fleet of Hercules transport aircraft.

Sean Bean plays a soldier, and the director wanted shots of him coming out of a Hercules after returning home from a war zone.

RAF spokesman, Flt Lt Kerry Shardlow said: "Sean Bean was a complete gentleman and took time out of his tight filming schedule to be shown around the Hercules C130J and chat to the ground engineers who were helping out."

Outlaw is the latest project from acclaimed writer and director Nick Love and also stars Bob Hoskins and Danny Dyer.
