MUGGLES have charmed estate agents into selling them Harry Potter's boyhood home at a discounted rate.
The three-bedroom home in Picket Post Close, Martins Heron, was used in the 2001 film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
In the film, a parliament of owls gather at the house to deliver Harry's letter from Hogwarts.
Hugh Williams, estate agent at Carr Williams, explained that the property didn't play on the Harry Potter aspect too much.
He said: "I don't think they (the buyers) are massive Harry Potter fans, although one of the potential buyers definitely was.
"We didn't want to market it as the 'Harry Potter' house, simply because of the adverse publicity that the previous seller got the last time they tried to sell it.
"I can't say how much it sold for, but it sold for slightly below the asking price."
The new family of four have not moved into the home yet, so for legal reasons, the price paid cannot be revealed.
