SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter gives his verdict on the Robins riders that brought the British top-flight title to Wiltshire for the first time in 45 years.

HANS ANDERSEN - Hans has been outstanding and I am really pleased with how he has gone. He has not been scared to say when something is wrong, and he is the ultimate professional who gave his best in every meeting. He was great as captain and led the team well.

NICK MORRIS - Young Nick is a rider who came to us with heaps of potential and was one of the most sought after riders. It has been a great few years for Nick winning the Conference League, Premier League and now the Elite League, and he has done really well.

PETER KILDEMAND - Peter is such an exciting rider to watch and he has done brilliantly for us this year. He is one of our own riders now which is obviously good, and he is someone I had my eye on when I was at Coventry. He won as a few matches, and was great in the final.

JASON DOYLE - For me, I have said all along Doyley is one of the riders of the year for us because he always gave everything and did well for us at every track. He rode for us even when he had broken his jaw, and it was just so cruel he couldn’t ride in the final.

TROY BATCHELOR - There were a few eyebrows raised when I first brought Troy back because there is a certain perception of him, but I knew all along I could manage him in the right way. In the end we got the best out of him and he showed his class time and again.

SIMON STEAD - I asked the question of Steady and he came back and pulled the last couple of meetings out the bag. Things had to change and he had to make changes, but he did that and we started to see the difference. There was nobody more pleased to see him perform than me.

DAWID LAMPART - Dawid didn’t quite finish how he started, but he came in when we needed him and did well. He had some match winning scores and some double figure scores, and he did what we expected of him and a little bit more.

ROBIN ASPEGREN - Everybody liked Robin because he was a great character who joined in with everyone and gave it 110 per cent. It was a shame Newport shut down because he wasn’t getting enough matches to keep him going in one league.

SEB ALDEN - Seb didn’t get as many meetings as he deserved because there were clashes with his Swedish team on a Thursday. The only home fixture he rode was the final, and I couldn not have asked any more of him, and he deserves a lot of praise.

LASSE BJERRE - Lasse was on the pace and had a match-winning performance for us at King’s Lynn which was really important for us in pushing for top spot. He text me to say thanks earlier this week, and it is great he will get a league winner’s medal.
