CHIPPENHAM Town have secured the signing of Bath City's long-serving club captain Jim Rollo, boss Nathan Rudge confirmed tonight.

The 36-year-old defender, who made 476 appearances for Conference South City in several spells since joining 15 years ago, has linked up with Rudge's Bluebirds', who are due to play Frome Town in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division tomorrow (3pm).

Rollo, who won the Southern League Premier Division title with Bath in 2006-07 and helped City into the Conference in 2009-10, scored nine goals for the Twerton Park club, becoming just the sixth player to make more than 400 appearances for them.

The former Forest Green Rovers and Cardiff City man goes straight into the Town squad for the meeting with Frome, managed by former Chippenham boss Darren Perrin.
