BACK: Gregorz Zengota
POLE Gregorz Zengota is set for a return to Blunsdon after becoming the latest rider to sign up for the season-opening Bob Kilby Memorial Meeting.
The Swindon asset represented the Robins in 2010 and 2011, but will line-up for Coventry in the Elite League next season after moving on loan to the Bees earlier in the winter.
Zengota joins a field already including three-time world champion Nicki Pedersen along with Troy Batchelor and Jason Doyle for the March 14 meeting, and Swindon co-owner Gary Patchett is pleased to see the young Pole making a return to Britain.
“He is a good young rider who is capable of beating anyone on his day, and we are pleased to see him involved in the meeting and to have one of our assets back racing in Britain again,” he said.
“On his average he could have lined up at reserve in a number of teams in the league, but at Coventry he will be in the third heat leader position, so this is a big year for him and we will see how he gets on.”
Further riders for the Kilby meeting, which is run on the same format as the British Final, will be announced in the coming days.

Zengi is a good rider and I would have liked to see him return but Kennet has equally good potential and I reckon Hans and Rosco will help him sort himself out and he will be 8 pointer plus especially when we ride in the eastern parts of the country
