That was a superb end to a great game. Cracking stuff.
@SwinWildcats @nedpayne1 The overtime curse has been broken! #swindonwildcats #barmyarmy— @charrabi1 03 March 2013
Swindon have won in overtime at the 11th attempt this season. About time!
Fojtik wins it! Stunning drama at the Hangar! He fooled Rockman and tapped in. Some huge bottle from Cats there and great stuff from Tom Murdy in particular.
And Melichar scores too!
Alex Barker rounds Murdy superbly. Goal.
Betteridge misses. Tension is unbelievable.
Mindy Kieras misses.
Loris Taylor goes mighty close.
Koulikov sees his shot blocked by Murdy with his pad.
Aldridge misses his shot to win it!
Pavel Gomeniuk misses.
Murdy saves from Bakrlik.
Matias Perkkio misses.
Darius Pliskauskas scores.
Nell fires off the post. So unlucky.
Davies sends his wristshot over.
Penalties it is.
Slough call a time out with three seconds left.
Great save Murdy from Dan Davies!
One minute left.
Three minutes left.
@Ulli2311 wooohoooo come on you cats!!!! #swindonwildcats— @ThatCurlyBird 03 March 2013
Just to remind you, Swindon have lost 10 games out of 10 in overtime or on penalty shots this season.
We're going to overtime (gulp), but it's a point at least for Cats.
A minute left.
GOAL! Slough 4 Swindon 4, 58.10
And there's the equaliser! Nell with his second of the night from Hoog and Ollie Betteridge. Long gets a 10-minute misconduct penalty in the aftermath.
Two minutes left for Cats to save this.
GOAL! Slough 4 Swindon 3, 54.47
The puck bounces out off the boards and Koulikov is steaming in unnoticed. He duly smashes into the left corner with Murdy unfortunate not to get across goal quickly enough.
Lots of Jets pressure.
Squeaky bum time #again #swindonwildcats— @Dunster43 03 March 2013
Seven minutes left.
Cats back to full strength.
Four decent saves from Murdy in a matter of seconds.
Come on cats, keep fighting, we all know you're capable of doing it :-) @SwindonWildcats— @rebeccabrace1D 03 March 2013
Baird called for boarding.
GOALS! Slough 3 Swindon 3, 47.47 and 49.01
Well that's one way to score a goal. Long clearly barges Murdy into the back of the net and Bakrlik taps in. How did that count? Just over a minute later Slava Koulikov catches the visitors on the hop and the teams are level. That's a tough one to swallow for Swindon but they just have to crack on now.
Less than 15 minutes left.
Period three has started.
And here come the teams.
Four minutes until the players return.
Time to find those extra reserves of energy for period three. And then a bit more.
That's the end of the second period.
GOAL! Slough 1 Swindon 3, 37.27
Cats counter and Sam Bullas pokes the puck into the slot for Joe Baird of all people. The D-man squeezes his shot into the narrow gap between Rockman and the post and it's 3-1.
Three minutes left in period two.
GOALS! Slough 1 Swindon 2, 33.00, 34.03
Matias Perkkio finds plenty of space in front of the net and doubles the lead from Ryan Aldridge and Jan Melichar. However, the Jets immediately hit back. Long scores from Bakrlik.
Penalty killed. Opportunity missed for the visitors.
Now it's five on four.
Frankie Bakrlik called for delay of game. Five on three.
Two minutes for Ciaran Long for tripping.
Jets have redoubled their efforts but have had no change out of Murdy yet.
Seven minutes played of period two.
@slapshot6032 Putting the jets drummers to shame tonight! #swindonwildcats #loudandproud— @charrabi1 03 March 2013
Jets powerplay. Nell called for cross-checking.
And we're away in period two.
Players are back out.
Slough's programme is a touch out of date. Talks about Michal Kapicka and Chris Jones!
A remarkably bare gamesheet so far. It was a better game than that suggests.
Cats were under heavy pressure early on but Murdy stood firm and made a few useful saves. The shorthanded goal by Swindon skipper Nell really knocked the stuffing out of Slough and they didn't look quite as dangerous after that. Long way to go, though.
So far, so good.
That's the end of the first period. Cats lead 1-0.
Two minutes left.
Cats growing into this game. It hasn't been all that busy but it has been fascinating.
Murdy has made some seriously sharp saves this period.
Some 12 minutes played here at the Hangar. Swindon now back to full strength of course.
GOAL! Slough 0 Swindon 1, 9.47, SH
Swindon deliver a short-handed sucker punch. Nell breaks free one-on-one and baffles Rockman in net to put Cats ahead. Assists go to Jonas Hoog and Paul Swindlehurst.
Murdy a busy man at present.
Delay of game bench penalty being served by Loris Taylor.
Pretty much all Slough so far.
Lots of short shifts for Swindon, as you would expect.
Tomas Fojtik squashes Michael Wales against the boards.
The first period is underway.
Difficult game for Wildcats but i think we will have enough to win. 5.3 to #swindonwildcats #ooosh— @AndyGee8 03 March 2013

We're about 10 minutes away from face-off.
The players have cleared the ice and we now have something resembling an ice disco at the Hangar. The Zamboni is out.
Referees tonight are David Cloutman and Thomas Gillingham. Linesmen are Ilya Antonov and Jason Earl.
In goal for Wildcats is Tom Murdy while Gregg Rockman is between the pipes for Slough.
Missing for Swindon tonight are Henri Sandvik, Shane Moore, Floyd Taylor, Lee Richardson and Jamie Hayes.
Slough have the edge in encounters between the teams this season, can shortbenched Swindon hit back?
Players from both teams are out on the ice and warming up.
Welcome to the Hangar, where threadbare Swindon take on Slough this evening.
