DAVID Howell finished in the top 20 at the Avantha Masters in India after a rollercoaster final round.
The 37-year-old Swindonian carded one-under-par and ended on 12-under for the tournament, putting him in a tie for 17th.
Bogeying three of the last five holes at Jaypee Gardens, the Broome Manor pro partially made up for that by making gains at 15 and 18.
That came after birdies at two, five and 12, which coupled with a bogey on six, initially put him at three-under for the day.
South African Thomas Aiken took overall victory on 23-under, three shots clear of home favourite Gaganjeet Bhullar.
