Tomlinson breaks course record at Marlbrough

JEZ Tomlinson set a sublime course record on his way to victory at the Marlborough Golf Club Championships.
Tomlinson shot 64 on the opening day which included eagles at the ninth, 12th and 13th.
Following up that effort with a second-round 74, Tomlinson ended up on 138 which gave him a comprehensive 12-shot win.
Back in second was 16-year-old Jamie Amor, brother of England boys champion Ben Amor, while two shots behind him was Don Seaman.
Fresh from almost winning the county seniors championship, David Lewis sunk a hole-in-one at the eighth.
In the women’s competition, Karen Gosling reigned supreme with a gross 155, some 12 shots clear of nearest rival Natasha Chapman.
