RUGBY: Cricklade 0 Marlborough 77
3:40pm Tuesday 24th September 2013 in Sport
MARLBOROUGH’S rampant start to their league campaign continued with a second successive 70-point haul.
Cricklade themselves had scored more than 70 in their opening match, but were blown away by the visitors.
With fly-half Nathan Morgan dictating play and kicking an early penalty, the away side got into their stride with full-back Laurence Baker putting prop Tom Fleming over the line for the first of 11 tries.
Morgan fed Taniela Delaitamana for the second and man of the match Joe Mitchell also crossed before half time, Morgan adding all three conversions and a penalty.
Baker started the second half scoring and Morgan collected his own chip to send Alex Sawbridge away for a score.
Delaitamana and Baker added their second scores after Max Cresswell had touched down and three more scores, from Patrick Campbell, Will McWilliam and Jonny Mantle wrapped up the result, five conversions being added.
