SWINDON thrower Mark Cox bowed out of the Dutch Masters at the last 16 stage yesterday.
Having previously beaten Andy Smith (6-1) and Campbell Jackson (6-5), Cox faced Jamie Caven next.
Caven opened the match with two tons as he took the first leg with relative ease.
However, Cox hit back to take the second as he hit two tons before checking out.
A stunning 130 checkout from Caven in the third saw him retain his lead before Cox levelled matters again by winning the fourth leg.
Scoring continued to go with the throw in the next two legs as both players found their form.
Caven then hit the only 180 of the match as he won the seventh leg, before Cox tied proceedings again at 4-4.
Caven took the ninth leg before just nicking the crucial 10th to book his place in the quarter-finals.
