MARLBOROUGH showed few signs of ring-rust after two weeks without a game as they swept aside Corsham on their way to their 11th win of the Dorset & Wilts Two North season.

The runaway leaders had seen their previous two opponents cry off unable to raise sides but despite having only 16 players, Corsham did front up and put on a determined effort.

In a scrappy game, there were good visiting performances from second rows Jack Lynd and Shaun Anderson.

Lynd scored an impressive hat-trick and Anderson also muscled his way over for a try.

Captain Jamie Pittams led by example and scored the opening try, while centre Will Turner’s strong running continued and earned him two scores.

Midfield partner Nick Clarke also touched down while wing Laurence Baker scored twice, Moree Nailago, Will McWilliam and Mark Atkinson also scoring, Baker adding four conversions.
