SHELLEY Rudman continued her steady start to the World Cup season b y finishing sixth in Lake Placid last night.
The Pewsey slider, fourth in the opening two rounds at Calgary and Park City, finished a total of 0.85 seconds behind the winner, American favourite Noelle Pikus Pace, with Anja Huber of Germany in second.
Great Britain's Lizzy Yarnold claimed her third straight World Cup podium of the season with a third-placed finish.
Yarnold improved from seventh place after the first run to take bronze and has now won medals of every colour from the first three World Cups of the season, with the second of the two Lake Placid World Cup races set to take place on Sunday.
