FROME Town chief Brian O'Donnell has added to his front-line options by signing former Weymouth assistant manager Matt Groves.

The 33-year-old striker, who has also featured for Dorchester Town and Lewes, left the Dorset outfit last week after being sacked along with boss Brendon King.

Badgers Hill boss O'Donnell said: "Matt will give us everything he has got and has plenty of experience at this level and the level above.

"We have been missing somebody that can hold the ball up and that's what we are hoping Matt will be able to do for us.

"We are still hoping to talk to three or four other players about coming over in the next few weeks as we are now going to have Matt Cooper missing for three games and Matt Cowler also missing due to suspension."

Frome travel to Stourbridge in the Calor Leauge Premier Division tomorrow night.
