WILTSHIRE youth earned a credible draw away at West Midlands in a match in which both sides suffered from player shortages.
The Wiltshire under 18s eventually came away with a defeat from their section, although Josh McCarthy won his contest with a single-dart average of 34.55, with Zak Cross and Declan Cox also picking up victories. Craig Cox was unlucky to be on the losing side in his match with Jordan Singh after finishing with an average of more than 24.
Wiltshire’s girls won 2-1 with wins from Faye Cross and Lauren Iles. The under 21’s won 3-2, with Luke Venn and Connor Hughes winning their games and Ryan McCarthy, who celebrated his 21st birthday on Saturday, picking up the man of the match for his game.
The county’s young dart players have no game in January so will return to action in February, while Superleague darts will resume on January 15 following the Christmas break.
