CHIPPENHAM’S winless run at Allington Field stretched to two months as the All Whites clinched a narrow victory in the last match before the mid-season break.
The visitors took the lead when Tom White crossed just past the midway point of the first half and Josh Smith landed the conversion.
But Chippenham responded when skipper Bobby Lyons touched down to cut the gap to two points.
Lloyd Radford’s try, plus a further penalty from Smith stretched the Cornish visitors further clear, but Tom Knight crossed for a second Chippenham try to ensure a bonus point.
Head coach Danny Thomas said: “It was a game we should have won and were disappointed that we didn’t.’’
