DAN Healey became Castle Combe’s first-ever triple junior champion as he secured the crown after the final round.

Healey, from Yate, who is also the senior champion, clinched victory in the final race, also clocking the fastest lap on his way to maximum points.

On a wet and greasy track, Healey won all four of his heats and started the final in pole position.

George Jonathan (Bristol) had his best meeting yet taking three wins and a second Trowbridge’s Jacob Hearne finished second in the championship and was unrivalled in terms of consistency, making all ten finals and finishing on the podium in eight of them.

James Paramore (Yate) finished third after a fine run at the end of the championship.

Bristol’s Billy Thompson jumped up to fourth overall, just pipping Josiah Lockett (Bristol) in fifth and Archie Cousins (Corsham) in sixth.

Bristol’s Jacob Gigg, Matthew Baker, Connor Groves and Jonathan filled the seventh to tenth places.

Jonathan was also driver of the day in the final round.

The Best Novice championship was close, with the top three being covered by just one point.

Jack Searle (Bristol) took the honours, having finishing the championship in 14th place overall.
