SWINDON Robins skipper Troy Batchelor does not require an operation on the knee ligament injury he suffered riding in the Australian Championship.
The 26-year-old tore his medial ligament in his left knee riding in the final of round two in Undera on Wednesday, with the results of an MRI confirming the tear.
He has this morning seen a specialist who confirmed no operation was needed and that he will be out for between four and six weeks. This means he will be fit for the start of the European season in March.
