CHIPPENHAM Town expect their re-arranged Calor League Premier Division clash with Arlesey Town tonight to go ahead.

The Bluebirds, who returned to action after an enforced winter break with a 1-1 draw against St Albans City last weekend, are due to face Bedfordshire outfit Arlesey at Hardenhuish Park today (kick-off 7.45pm).

Chairman Neil Blackmore doesn't have any worries over the Hardenhuish Park playing surface following last night's heavy rainfall and this morning's frost.

"I checked the pitch this morning - yes, it was frozen but there was no standing water," said Blackmore.

"The forecast is sunny and dry all day, so I see no reason why the game will not go ahead."

Arlesey currently sit 11th in the table and saw a seven-match unbeaten run come to an end at Banbury United last weekend.

Striker Alan Griffin returns to the Chippenham line-up tonight whilst defender Tyron Leigh could be available after a bout of illness but midfielder Iain Harvey misses out after being forced off against St Albans with a recurrence of a hamstring injury.
