FROME Town have signed striker Mark Francis on loan from Swindon Town ahead of tonight's clash with Banbury United (kick-off 7.45pm).

The 19-year-old, who has made two first-team appearances for Swindon, was on loan at Frome's Calor League Premier Division counterparts AFC Totton earlier this season but a knee injury cut short his spell in Hampshire.

Adrian Foster's men go looking to bounce back from Satruday's dismal defeat to bottom-of-the-table Bashley last weekend.

The Robins manager issued an apology to Frome supporters following their 2-1 loss at Badgers Hill.

Foster said: “Firstly, we owe a massive apology to the supporters as that performance was unacceptable.

"We set up to play in a certain way and a certain formation, and what we worked on wasn’t followed - the players have been left in no doubt as to our feelings after the game and a few home truths have been spelt out.

"When I came to the club, it was my intention to see what we had already and then build upon it but yesterday proved that that cannot wait and we need to make changes now. We are where we are in the league table for a reason.

"New signings will come in and I am already talking to clubs about player availability, so those that are already at Frome should be under no illusions that they are now playing for their own places and their futures as Paul (Thorpe, assistant boss) nor myself will accept any future performances or excuses like that."
