ROYAL Wootton Bassett are hampered by a string of unavailabilities for this weekend’s visit to Stow but have been boosted by three new arrivals at the club.

With Tim Gallimore out with a broken finger, Duncan Fulling and Danny Randell away with work and David Hogg skiing, head coach Alan Low has a decision to make regarding replacements but has managed to bolster his squad with the signings of Liam Spillane, Chris Roshier and Liam Rowe.

Bassett go into tomorrow’s game on a run of three straight wins and Low is hopeful of keeping it going despite missing a few regular players.

“It’s a tough game anyway when you go to Stow but it’s made even harder by a massive amount of players being unavailable this week,” Low said.

“There are a lot of guys away but I still feel we are in a good position because if we had this problem at the start of the season it would have been a case of panic stations.

“Now though I think we should still be strong especially as Jon Clarke is back now after breaking his arm and we also have some new signings which make us a bit stronger.

“The new signings are all really good players and should do a good job for us and we look forward to seeing how they do.

“We’ve been on a good run recently and hopefully we can keep that going at Stow.”

All three new signings were once part of the Wootton Bassett colts system which pleases Low and the management at the club.

“All three of them moved away so it’s great to have them back at the club because that’s an ethos we like to work with and are looking towards now,” he said.

“They are all good players and know what we’re about so they should be good.

“We have a very strong youth system and the colts are doing really well so we need to try and work on the retention side of things. We don’t want to pull players in from other clubs, we want to grow our own and hang onto them.”

Elsewhere in Southen Counties North, Swindon College Old Boys travel to Thatcham.
