SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter has insisted Nick Morris will be staying with the club.

The talented young Australian had been linked with a move elsewhere after his Premier League club Somerset axed him from their plans, with Sheffield and Leicester interested in his services

And while Morris is still keen to double-up, Rossiter insists he will be riding for the Robins at Elite League level.

He said: "It’s time to draw a line under the Nick Morris situation. Nick and I have never had a problem, but certain other people around him have been saying and writing things which haven’t helped.

"He wants to do Premier League and we were disappointed for him when Somerset made their team change.

"Nick and I have always got on well and that will continue in the weeks and months ahead, he is an integral part of the Swindon side for the 2014 season and is going nowhere.

"And Nick has never said anything in public about the situation – it’s just some people decided to do things their way.

"He never really wanted to leave Swindon and in due course we hope an opportunity will arise for the lad to ride for a Premier League club.”
