WEST Wilts are still waiting for their first Davis Wood League Conference North victory of 2014 after they were held to a 2-2 draw at Yate.
A crash ball from James Baker drew the visitors level after Yate had taken the lead before good interplay between Mark Brothers and Ben Creedy set up David King to fire Wilts ahead.
But a scrappy second period eventually led the hosts snatching a share of the spoils to leave Wilts 15 points behind runaway Conference North leaders City of Bath.
Meanwhile, West Wilts Ladies kept their West Clubs League East Division title charge on track with a 2-0 win at Team Bath Buccanneers 3.
A goal-line clearance from Helen Oldrieve prevented the hosts from the taking the lead before Lucy Diggins crossed for Suzanne Powell to find the net via a deflection.
In the second period, Anji Whittamore combined with Olivia Evans to set up Diggins to make the game safe with Wilts’ second.
A hat-trick from Melissa Ilic wasn’t enough to prevent the ladies thirds slipping to a heavy 6-3 defeat at the Buccanneers’ fifth team.
Wilts remain bottom of the Wessex Division Two table, a point behind Wootton Bassett thirds.
