LEADERS Marlborough gained ample revenge against the one side to beat them in the West Clubs League North Division as they thrashed Leominster 9-0 on Saturday.

The home side started with a point to prove and by halftime had emphatically made it as they stormed into a 6-0 lead.

Pressure straight from the start allowed TH White man of the match Alex Crosby Jones to score the first goal, quickly followed by her second.

A barrage of goals followed, Kate Batty, Becki Marnane, Becky Hewlett and Rosie Curling also finding the net.

Curling’s cracking shot started the second half ball rolling as Marlborough continued to impose their dominance on the game.

Clare Griffiths converted a well-placed short corner and captain Marnane wrapped up the result.

Chippenham 3 were 6-0 winners of their Wootton Bassett counterparts in Wessex Division Two, Mary Derrick scoring a hat-trick.

Sapphire Randerson netted twice, with Lauren Jones also on target.

In Wessex Division Three, Chippenham 4 were 12-0 winners over Knowle 2, Beth McCandlish scoring six times.
