LOCAL rivals Melksham Town and Bradford Town have been kept apart in the draw for the semi-finals of the Wiltshire Senior Cup.
Darren Perrin’s Melk-sham, who beat Highworth Town in the last round, are due to travel to Hellenic League Purton on Tuesday March 18 while Paul Shanley’s Bradford, who got past Pewsey Vale in the quarter-finals, are away at Sydenhams League Bemerton Heath Harlequins seven days earlier.
Bradford were controversially booted out of last season’s county cup for fielding an ineligible player in their quarter-final victory over Melksham.
The Conigre outfit were reinstated in the competition and went all the way, beating Downton 2-0 at Chippenham Town’s Hardenhuish Park ground last April.
West Wiltshire sides saw their league matches wiped out by the weather this week.
