EIGHT-YEAR-OLD Chloe Witt hasn’t looked back since joining the Lea Judo Club, near Malmesbury, 18 months ago.
Chloe, who goes to Westonbirt Prep School, won gold in the Independent Association of Prep Schools Judo Championship at High Wycombe.
The Year Three pupil was the winner in the 20kg category facing a competitor in the finals who was five inches taller than she is.
“One of my friends was going so I decided to go too. When I tried it I really loved it,” said Chloe, who is now a white belt with two green stripes.
“It was a tremendous achievement for Chloe. She is often up early on Saturdays to attend competitions and takes it all in her stride,” said Neil Shaw, head of Westonbirt Prep.
“We’re all very proud of her.”
