SAM Jordan’s 60th goal of the season helped Bradford Town progress into the quarter-finals of the Les Phillips Cup as they saw off Slimbridge last weekend.
Goal machine Jordan got the only goal of the game at Trowbridge Road as Paul Shanley’s men got the better of their Toolstation League Premier Division opponents.
Bradford host Chippenham Park in the First Division on Wednesday evening.
Meanwhile, Melksham Town marked their return to action by thrashing Bridport in the Toolstation League Premier Division lasts weekend.
Darren Perrin’s side, who hadn’t been in action for almost a month, ran out 6-2 winners in Dorset.
Gary Higdon and Dan Kovacs both scored braces for Melksham, with debutant Dan Sibley also on target as the hosts also put one into their own net.
Corsham Town recovered from 3-1 down to snatch a 3-3 draw in their thrilling derby clash with Warminster Town but there was disappointment for Westbury United as they were beaten 2-1 by Cheddar, with Marc Lanfear grabbing the consolation goal for Matt Bown’s men.
