Taylor has been drawn to face the Torquay United player, the highest ranked in the Standerwick club’s event, an honour which puts a £50 bounty of Dennison’s head.

Clarrie’s Taylor has first crack at winning the cash as 64 players compete for the title over two days starting tomorrow (Saturday).

Clarrie’s own 2010 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Graham Shadwell is also in the field.

Matches will be played in a sets format, each match consisting of two sets of seven ends, with a three-nd tiebreaker being played in the event of a draw.

Prize money totalling £2250 is also up for grabs, thanks to sponsorship from Jumping Jacks Bowls Shop located at the Clarrie club, Taylor Bowls and Timber & Allied Services, of Westbury.
