DEVIZES maintained their five-point at the top of the Davis Wood League Central One division with a 9-0 victory over Sidmouth.

The breakthrough came from a Roger Edwards drag-flick and two deflections from Josh Bond quickly added to the total.

Devizes kept pushing for more goals throughout the game and Callum Lavens bagged a hat-trick as well as a couple more for Edwards and another from Bond.

Chippenham are unbeaten in three matches after a 2-1 success at Bristol University B. Ben Pitman-Jones and Selwyn Widger were on target for the visitors.

Marlborough took their unbeaten run in Conference North to four games as captain Rich Holman’s strike rescued a point against Leominster at Marlborough College.

The first half ended scoreless but disaster struck for the home side with 15 minutes to go when an incorrectly-awarded short corner was thundered home by the visitors.

Marlborough switched their formation, putting four up front which heaped further pressure on and were finally rewarded when John Duffy’s mazy run and cross found captain Holman at the far post for a calm finish. The TH White man of the match was coach Matt Way.

Wootton Bassett are storming towards the 150 goals scored mark in East Central One after a 9-1 thrashing of West Wilts B preserved their ten-point lead.

Kyle Barnes led the scoring with four goals, Mark Turner adding two and Matt Daniell, an own goal and Kristian Mansfield also netting.

Wootton Bassett A held City of Bath C to a 6-6 draw, Jack Twine netting a hat-trick and Lawrence Winter, Martyn Chivers and Ross Pinnuck also scoring.

Nick Thomson and Will Fieldsend were on target for Wootton Bassett B in their 3-2 loss to Team Bath Buccs G in East Central Two.
