WHITE Horse FC picked up maximum points from their two games at the weekend.

Victories over Trowbridge Rangers and The Stiffs took the Westbury-based side to the top of Division Three and they will clinch the title if they beat United FC on Tuesday evening.

White Horse started their double header with an 8-2 victory over Trowbridge Rangers in a match that was moved from The Stallards to Leighton Recreation Centre.

Rangers went one up through Cameron Thomas, but they trailed 2-1 at the interval as goals from Stuart Barber and Nick Mead put White Horse 2-1 in front.

Trowbridge Rangers got themselves back on level terms early in the second period with Jordan Field squaring things up.

Matty Mead regained the lead for White Horse and a second of the game for Nick Mead made it 4-2.

A Dan Cox penalty, Ross Parker, Marek Miszta and a second from Stuart Barber completed a resounding victory for the White Horse men.

IN THEIR second match of the day White Horse beat basement side The Stiffs 8-0.

Ade Giles held their hosts at bay for 38 minutes but went in at half time trailing 3-0 as goals from Pete Ayton, Stuart Barber and Kane Scott put White Horse in charge and heading for pole position.

The second half saw the home team net five more unanswered goals, Paul Beavers made it 4-0 before Scott added his second and his team's fifth.

A second from Beavers followed before Kane Scott completed his hat-trick. Shane Newman added their eighth for White Horse with a goal on his debut.
