PRESIDENT Mike James thinks that Trowbridge’s players should be proud of their efforts during an ‘unbelievable’ season, no matter what the score of tomorrow’s semi-final.

More than 100 Trowbridge supporters are expected to make the trip to Guildford but James thinks the current campaign will live long in the memory whether the Doric Park men make it to the home of English rugby or not.

“With the move to the new ground and a new players coming in, nobody really knew what was going to happen this season but it’s been unbelievable,” said James.

“Getting to Twickenham would be amazing for the club but I think the boys know that the Southern Counties play-off against Aylesbury (on April 26) is probably our most important game.

“But whatever happens on Saturday, the team are a credit to the club and they’ve achieved something that no Trowbridge side have done before.

“We’re regularly getting crowds of 200 to watch the first team and sometimes 100 to watch the second and third teams.

“We’ve got three coaches, including the team coach, going on Saturday and with the people going in cars and vans, there should be more than 100 there to watch.”
