DIVISION Three basement side The Stiffs were looking to finish the season with a victory at home to local rivals United FC, who had already secured a top three finish.

United brought the curtain down with a 5-1 victory over their rivals in a game that was well refereed by Adam Osborne.

United started the game at a lightning pace and missed two easy chances to take the lead, Patryk Latanski being guilty on both occasions.

Shavon Allen finally put United in front and Latanski got his first to make it 2-0.

United brought on Pavel Kochaniec at the interval and the move was an instant success as he scored twice to put United 4-0 up.

Fellow substitute Adam Wiorek made it 5-0 before Dave Carroll pulled a goal back for a Stiffs side who played the final 30 minutes with 10 men due to losing Adam Freeland with a broken wrist.
