CALNE Town brought the curtain down on their Toolstation League First Division campaign with a thumping 5-1 victory over Welton Rovers.

After a goalless first half, Calne went ahead through a penalty awarded for handball, Glenn Armstrong firing home.

Welton Rovers hit back as Antony Conradi equalised but Calne regained the lead midway through the half as Mark Dolman's free kick was met by Jake Jeffries, who poked home.

In the 85th minute, Tom Slater was fouled and Dolman bent home a strike from the free kick. Slater was then fouled again inside the area and substitute Pete Thornton fired home.

Slater added a fifth in the dying moments.

Corsham Town ended their campaign with a 2-1 success over bottom club Portishead Town, Kieron Gleed and Jason Henley on target for Trevor Rawlings' men.

Chippenham Park were beaten 4-1 at home by Wincanton Town.

In the Toolstation Premier, Gary Higdon's double and a Nick Ridout strike gave Wiltshire Senior Cup winners Melksham Town a 3-2 win at Brislington.

Pewsey Vale were beaten 3-0 on the Isle of Wight by Cowes Sports in their penultimate match of the season.

Jordan Browne scored twice for Sports, Joe Adams also on target.

In the Hellenic League Premier Division, Wootton Bassett Town were beaten 4-3 by Kidlington.

Bassett trailed 2-0 to goals from Tommy Castle and Danny Mason and, despite a response from Adam Corcoran, Tom Boxer scored a third for Kidlington before half time.

Levi Cox scored a second for Bassett, but almost immediately, Boxer struck a fourth for their opponents. Cox replied again for Bassett with 20 minutes to go.
