TOMMY Bridewell returns to action in the second round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park, in Cheshire, this weekend.

The Etchilhampton rider will compete in two races after finishing inside the top ten in the opening two outings at Brands Hatch over Easter.

Bridewell said: “Brands Hatch wasn’t an ideal start for me but we have had the chance to reflect on that now and have looked at all the angles ready for Oulton Park.

“If you look at previous years and who won eventually, the results at the first round didn’t affect the championship.

“I feel better about Oulton Park and I look at the success the team have had there previously and that is a huge positive for us before we get started.

“The first round didn’t go as well as I had hoped but Oulton Park is more a territory that should be good for us and I know we can turn it around and fight at the front.”
