And finally, Trowbridge coach Steve Ojomoh: "It's hard to describe - I'm just ecstatic.

"I'm pleased for the town, the club and all of the players and the supporters.

"We got to the club at half-past-nine this morning and there were hundreds of well-wishers there - we just had to do it for them.

"We deserved it. We've worked hard all season and after losing two games in the first month, we've always been playing catch-up.

"We've been on the road in cup final after cup final but we wanted the big prize, and we've done it."

5:39pm

Trowbridge's Sean Jones: "Nerves crept in a bit towards the end and when we could see the end in sight, they (Leek) were just relentless.

"I think mistakes were always going to be made but we did a job in the end and we're so happy."

"The whole town has been behind us, so to go home and give something back to them is massive - absolutely massive."

Trowbridge captain Matt Howard: "Against Ivybridge, we were defending on the edge of our own five-metre line with two minutes to go and against Guilford, we were down to 13 men for a large part of ten minutes but we held our line at the end and got that crucial turnover when they were hammering our line.

"Today, they had the opportunity to kick for the three points to take it to extra-time but I think they thought momentum was on their side.

"But we managed to hold them off for a few phases and got that crucial turnover.

"To get here is one thing but to get here and win; words can't describe it. "

Back in about 1992 the members made a commitment to start a youth section in the club and 22 years later we see the fruits of that labour.

That last picture was from WT snapping legend Trevor Porter. Both he and fellow WT hero Glenn Phillips have been capturing the images of the day for your delectation in Friday's supplement.

So, as far as we know, it's the first time the RFU Intermediate Cup has winged it's way back to Wiltshire.

4:50pm

We'll have that reaction for you as soon as we can get it, Dan is down in the tunnel on doing the honours. While we wait though, time to point you in the direction of our 12-page supplement which will be out on Friday to celebrate Trowbridge's triumph. Don't miss it!!

It's thumbs-up all round as Trowbridge coach Steve Ojomoh leaves the arena. He was a winner here many times as a player. Wonder what he made of that.?

Dan Barnes will be getting reaction shortly.....

Pubs of Trowbridge - you might want to order in tonight!

4:42pm

4:41pm

Howard is up last to pick up his medal and, finally, the Intermediate Cup.

4:36pm

Leek up first to get their medals. Wonder how Trowbridge skipper Matt Howard is feeling now? He's about to lift a trophy at Twickenham!

4:35pm

4:35pm

Fantastic scenes as the teams applaud each other off. Trowbridge raking the applause of their amazing support. Great ovation from Leek's fans to their men too. That was some game!

4:33pm

FT - Trowbridge 22-19 Leek

That was an unbearable finish. Leek had two penalties close to the Trowbridge line. But the brilliant defence held out again.

Trowbridge - RFU Intermediate Cup champions - how does that sound?

4:31pm

FT - TROWBRIDGE WIN!!

4:29pm

Leek scrum metres from the Trowbridge line

4:29pm

Can't be long left now and it's Leek pressing

4:23pm

TRY - Trowbridge 22-19 (James Floyd, McDermott con)

The Trowbridge defence cracks under intense pressure and Floyd scampers under the posts for an easy conversion.

4:20pm

4:20pm

Leek roar back. Full-back Samuel Hunt shreds the defence but McDermott drops the scoring pass before Hunt is held up over the line. Tense stuff, with Leek pressing

4:15pm

TRY - Trowbridge 22-12 Leek (Sean Jones, con Davis con)

Want a fairy tale? How's this? Trowbridge make the extra man count as they pile on the pressure and Jones, in what he says is the final match of his playing career, ploughs over. Davis converts.

4:14pm

Adam Sullivan is coming off and it looks like he's hurt. Scott Williams back on to replace him. Great ovation as he comes off.

4:12pm

Trowbridge are close to the Leek line and piling on the pressure.

4:11pm

Yellow card for Leek's Edward Harrison for a tip tackle on Trowbridge's Sean Jones. Trowbridge will have the extra man for 10 minutes.

4:09pm

4:09pm

Into the last 20 minutes. You wouldn't like to call the outcome of this one.

4:07pm

Fine break by Trowbridge's Joe Knight but he can't quite find his support. Wonderful noise in here now.

4:05pm

4:03pm

TRY - Trowbridge 15-12 Leek (McDermott try and con)

Trowbridge caught out as Leek opt to run a kickable penalty. They stop the first wave but McDermott spots a gap and goes over by the posts. Good comeback from the Staffordshire side.

4:02pm

4:00pm

That's a strong lead for Trowbridge. Still 25 minutes-plus left though.

3:59pm

Szabo ran fully 60 metres for that score. Bet he dreamed of doing that last night.

3:57pm

TRY - Trowbridge 15-5 Leek (Jackson Szabo)

He nearly did it in the semi final win at Guildford - and he just has done it on the biggest stage. Full-back Szabo picks a loose ball up in midfield skirts around the outside of the defence, beats the last tackle and dives over the line. Stunning score. Davis can't quite add the extras.

3:53pm

Leek pushing forward early on but the Trowbridge defence is up to the task.

3:52pm

Pretty low-key start to the second period. Perhaps not a surprise given the breathless nature of that first half.

3:46pm

3:46pm

Here we go. Back under way at Twickenham.

3:42pm

HT - Trowbridge 10-5 Leek

That's half time. Trowbridge in front but there's nothing between these sides. Coach Steve Ojomoh will be telling his lads to play for territory and go from there.

3:38pm

Leek wing James Floyd nearly escapes. Szabo has to make the tackle and he does. Thrilling match - one side has a go, then the other

3:36pm

3:35pm

Back come Leek with a series of drives. Lock Thomas Sims reaches for the line but drops it. Close!

3:33pm

TRY - Trowbridge 10-5 Leek (Karl Parry, con Davis)

Great response from the Wiltshire men. Jackson Szabo and James Davies go on runs and, as the forwards grind forward, rolling replacement Karl Parry gets the scoring touch. Super game. Davis lands the extras.

3:28pm

TRY - Trowbridge 3-5 (Luke Granger)

Costly moment for Trowbridge as a Leek attack makes good ground and wins a penalty. Backchat moves it forward 10 metres and, from the lineout, Luke Granger ploughs over. Conversion us shanked again.

3:24pm

3:23pm

3:22pm

PENALTY - Trowbridge 3-0 Leek (Lloyd Davis)

The fly-half strikes it straight and true from in front and it's first blood to Trowbridge.

3:21pm

Trowbridge penalty with Leek offside after a botched lineout and this is kickable. Lloyd Davis steps up.

3:18pm

Couple of fine Trowbridge turnovers get the crowd on their feet.

3:16pm

3:15pm

Another Leek penalty as Trowbridge get themselves into difficulty but McDermott opts to to go touch. 15 minutes in and there's absolutely nothing in this

3:12pm

3:11pm

3:10pm

But he shanks that one well wide. Honours still even

3:09pm

Penalty Leek for a Trowbridge offside at a line out. Skipper Gary McDermott will step up.........

3:07pm

Now it's Leek's turn to have a go but nothing doing from that Trowbridge defence. Trowbridge win a turnover but the counterattack is smothered.

3:04pm

Good early spell on the ball from Trowbridge but it's all pretty congested in that midfield.

3:03pm

The first strains of 'Trowbridge, Trowbridge' go up as their side get on the ball.

3:01pm

Leek get us under way...........

So many great stories around this Trowbridge team too. How about prop Sean Jones, who told the Wiltshire Times that he will retire after this game? Or Lloyd Davis, the fly-half whose career was nearly ended after he suffered serious leg burns in an accident at work.

Then there is Joe Knight, who was sent off in the semi final win at Guildford and whose subsequent suspension only ended yesterday.

2:03pm

2:03pm

So what do we know about today's opponents Leek? Well, their trip to Twickenham is also something of a fairy tale in a town better known for its football.

Skipper Gary McDermott played National League level rugby for Macclesfield and we're told his family 'are' Leek RFC.

We should have team sheets shortly, but there's plenty of support for Trowbridge here already, as billed all week.
