Ferndale Rodbourne Pumas finished their Under 12 Division One season in fine style by beating last season’s champions Highworth in midweek 1-0 and this season’s runners up Swindon Supermarine 2-1.
Brandon Lewis scored all of Pumas goals in both matches which guaranteed Pumas third place.
Kain Chivers, Harrison Jordon and Tyler Hammick were outstanding in both games for Pumas.
Supermarine’s Daniel Clare scored his 45th goal of the season in the Pumas defeat.
Under 13 Division 1 (11v11)
Four second half goals for Callum Barrett during Ferndale Rodbourne YCFC’s 9-2 victory against Stratton Juniors took his tally to 45 for the season.
Dawid Osinski (2), Kyle Meader-Harris and Jason Werrell also scored with Matty Conner capping a player of the match performance with a goal.
Both Stratton’s goals were well taken finishes.
Division 1 (9v9)
Two goals for Ben Simons, a well struck volley from Joe Gleed and a strong, energetic performance from player of the match Harry Johnson couldn’t quite prevent Ferndale falling to a 6-3 defeat to Shaw.
Division 3 (9v9)
A wonderful second half comeback saw Ferndale overcome a two goal deficit to defeat Pewsey Vale 4-2. Ben Simons scored a free kick and penalty to level the score, Dan O’Brien added an excellent solo goal and Neo Heath scored late on to seal the victory.
