SWINDON number one Peter Kildemand is firmly in the mix to win his first Danish title after the opening meeting in Holstebro.

Kildemand finished fifth on 10 points but, with winner Niels-Kristian Iversen just two points ahead on 12, the Robins man will have a chance of pushing for the title when the series concludes at his home track in Fjelsted in August.

The Swindon man's fifth-place finish was enough to secure his place in the Grand Prix qualifying series.

Former Robin Nicolai Klindt finished second to Iversen with Bjarne Pedersen third and Mads Korneliussen fourth.

Former Swindon captain Hans Andersen finished seventh behind Eastbourne's Mikkel Michelsen, with Andersen winning a run-off with Kenni Larsen and Michael Jepsen Jensen for the final GP qualifying spot.
