JAMES Vince will become Hampshire's youngest professional captain when he leads the county into the Natwest T20 Blast this evening.
The 23-year-old, former Chippenham youth player will take charge of the side against Glamorgan and he's planning on out-hitting teammate Michael Carberry across the 20-over thrash competition this summer.
“I like getting in there when the powerplay’s on and myself and Carbs have been pretty successful in the last few years in the powerplay. It’s enjoyable to bat in the top six (overs), especially with him," he told ecb.co.uk.
“We just see who can hit it the furthest, I think. For the last couple of seasons we’ve had that approach in Twenty20 cricket and one-day cricket.
“We’ve been successful so there’s no reason to change.”
