POTTERNE remained unbeaten in Wadworth 6X West of England League Premier Two as their bowlers came up with the goods at home to Glastonbury.

The Somerset visitors, chasing 164, were dismissed for 128 as Jake Roberts, Ed Young and Ollie Smith all took two wickets each.

Earlier, skipper Neil Clark had led the way as he hit 64 off 78 balls to help Potterne post their score before they were dismissed in the 44th over.

Goatacre were also home victors as they saw off winless Chard by 56 runs.

The villagers were dismissed for 249 in the final of their 50 overs and Chard came up well short on 193.

Corsham slipped to their second Premier One defeat of the season as they came up six runs short at Weston-super-Mare.

Putting their hosts into bat, the Wiltshire men dismissed them for 184, Gary Morgan top-scoring with 48 as Joseph King took 3-29 and there were two wickets each for Ashur Morrison, Jon Parker and Tom Foley.

Corsham came up short as they were all out for 178 in the 48th over, despite 46 from wicketkeeper Steve Bullen and an unbeaten 38 from skipper Pete Dennett.

Sam Trego mopped up the visitors' tail with 4-22 as Weston squeezed home.

In the Glos/Wilts Division, Biddestone were defeated as they fell 40 runs short of the 222 target set by hosts and league leaders Lechlade.

Warminster remained in the thick of the hunt for honours as they leapfrogged county rivals Swindon with a 43-run success at Sambourne Road.

Put into bat, they reached 201 before being dismissed in the 47th over, opener Tom Weaver hitting 41 and Richard Davie adding 30. There were two wickets each for Swindon's Matthew Kidd, Daniel Harris and Adam Tucker.

The home side made early inroads into their opponents' order, Rory Cullinan with 3-28 and Marcus Brown, Tom Davie and Nick Hembury.

Westbury suffered their second defeat of the campaign, a two-wicket reverse against Rockhampton.

Jared McDonald hit 64 and Tom Cullen 57 in Westbury's 170-3 from their 50 overs but Rockhampton got to 171-8 to claim victory.

Chippenham's clash at Tewkesbury was cancelled due to the Gloucestershire side's waterlogged pitch.

Marshfield inflicted a first defeat of the season on Burbage & Easton Royal as they got home by six wickets at the Red Lion Field.

Wicketkeeper/opener Sourish Mukherjee scored 41 for Burbage, but the home side were in trouble at 85-8 until an unbeaten 47 off 41 balls from number nine Adam Lavis and Darran Freegard's 20 helped them up to 154 all out.

There were two wickets each for Tom Bright, Cameron Walker and William Johnson.

Marshfield reached their target in under 28 overs and James Williams (52 off 29 balls) and Russell Lodge (54 not out) saw them home.

Great Bedwyn stayed at the top of the table alongside Marshfield as they claimed a comfortable seven-wicket win over Nationwide House.

Three wickets each from Max Andrews and Richard Bosson restricted House to 176 all out, Mark Flay top-scoring with 37.

Skipper John Palmer's 60 anchored the Bedwyn reply, which reached the target inside 42 overs, Neil Maycock adding an unbeaten 39.

Marlborough stayed on the tail of the leaders as they beat Winsley by 92 runs.

Marlborough's 177-9 was largely down to 72 from opener Ben Head, although the hosts also received a helping hand as Winsley contributed 42 extras.

Winsley skipper Simon Orchard took 4-28 and Tom Walker 3-33, but their reply proved a disaster as they were dismissed for 85 in the 29th over.

Head took 5-16 and George Fox 3-37.

Calne are still without a win as Tom Bowler's heroics with the ball helped Purton to an eight-wicket win.

Bowler took 6-26 to help reduce Calne to 103 all out, Tom Fullalove weighing in with 3-22 as Thomas Richards top-scored with 22 for Calne.

Purton knocked off the runs in under 20 overs, Bowler adding an unbeaten 43.

Trowbridge went fourth in the table as Wes Marshall plundered an unbeaten 123 in their six-wicket triumph over Devizes.

Skipper Joe Wookey was at the centre of the Devizes innings after they had been inserted, scoring 68 in their 159 all out.

Rob Edginton took 3-13 in just five overs for Trowbridge, Mike Reynolds and Wesley Marshall contributing two wickets each.

Marshall dominated the reply, his 110-ball knock including 17 fours and two sixes, as Trowbridge got home in the 32nd over.
