WRAG Barn pro Josh Loughrey secured a top 20 finish at Club de Campo Villa de Madrid’s Peugeot Open.
The 23-year-old carded a one over par last round to finish the tournament one under in 19th place. However had Loughrey avoided a double-bogey at the par four 18th, his very last hole of the tournament, he could have have finished as high as 15th. Until his late blunder Loughrey was on course a one under round of 70.
He dropped a shot on his first hole of the final day but got that back with a birdie at the par five seventh. Two more birdies at 13 and 16 corrected a bogey at 11 before the disastorous final hole saw Loughrey slip down the leaderboard.
The Wrag golfer’s next tournament is the Alps De Las Castillas at Golf Club Los Angeles de San Rafael starting June 26
