MARTIN Sell sealed a top 10 finish in the latest stage of the Jamega Tour at Studley Wood.

The Wrag Barn pro shot a five-under-par 68 in Oxford in the second round to finish the competition with a fine six-under.

Having started the day in the 13th place, Sell went out in the front nine in a two-under 34 having birdied the fifth and seventh hole.

But the Wrag Barn star had to wait until the final two holes at Studley Wood to improve his score.

On the 17th, Sell scored an eagle three on the par five hole, before a birdie four on the final green ensured his place in the top 10.

Sell’s Wrag Barn clubmate Ben Loughrey could only improve his opening day round of two-under-par by one shot.

Loughrey began the final day of the competition in tied 10th, but he dropped a shot on the fourth hole with a bogey four.

The Wrag Barn pro rallied through holes seven to 10 as he scored four consecutive birdies to climb his way back up the leaderboard as he went five-under for the competition.

A bogey five on 15 was cancelled out on the 17th with a birdie, but Loughrey’s hopes of troubling the leaders was ended on the final green when he limped home with a double-bogey seven.
