SWINDON will look to build on their stunning nine-wicket success at Lechlade tomorrow when they welcome Westbury and District to the County Ground.

Liam Tucker’s side were in rampant mood at the Manor Ground last weekend as they disposed of the then Wilts/Glos Division leaders.

Swindon tore into Lechlade right from the start after losing the toss, with Matthew Kidd leading the attacking with a wicket with the first ball of the match.

The County Ground seamer went on to claim figures of 4-27 with the new ball and he was ably supported by first change bowler Vib Yadav, who picked up 3-31 as Lechlade were bowled out for 120.

In previous weeks, Tucker’s side had struggled with the bat, but that was not the case at the Manor Ground as they knocked the runs off in 23 overs.

But the Swindon captain says that his side must back that performance up against Westbury tomorrow.

“That win will count for nothing if we don’t beat Westbury,” Tucker said. “It has been a good week at the club having beaten Lechlade.

“We know that we must back that up, we can’t get complacent - one win does not make a summer.

“We are well aware that this is going to be a different test and after last week we know just how quickly things can change.”

But Swindon have managed to maintain that winning feeling around the club this week with an 18-run success over Burbage and Easton Royal in the Wallop Cup.

Kidd again continued his fine form with two wickets from his four overs in the Twenty20 contest, while opener Marc Williamson blasted 26 off 15 balls.

“That was another good performance from the team,” added Tucker, who missed the game due to work commitments. “It keeps everyone’s spirits up going into our game at the weekend.

“We just need to keep working hard in our weekend and midweek games, practice hard and hit the standards that we now know that we can achieve.”

Despite putting in a winning performance against Lechlade last weekend, Tucker admits that he may tinker with that team.

All-rounder Dan Harris was unavailable for the trip to the Manor Ground but with him back this weekend, Tucker says that there is a good chance that he will come back into the starting XI to face Westbury.
