WEST Littleton rider Harry Meade has been called into Great Britain's squad for the fifth leg of the FEI Nations Cup in Aachen, Germany, later this month.
Meade and Charlotte Opperman’s Wild Lone, come in after a change of competition plan which sees Tina Cook and De Novo News, owned by Jim Chromiak, head to this weekend's Barbury International Horse Trials, as part of their preparations for this year’s World Equestrian Games.
The team of four will be announced post trot-up at the competition but Meade joins world number one William Fox-Pitt, Piggy French, Zara Phillips, and Izzy Taylor in the squad.
Great Britain are currently leading the Nations Cup rankings after finishing in second place after Strzegom in Poland.
Meade and Wild Lone finished third at this year's Badminton Horse Trials, after the rider recovered from two shattered elbows, smashed in a rotational fall last August.
