CORSHAM suffered a setback in their Premier One (2nd XI) campaign as they lost by seven wickets at Bridgwater.

The visitors totalled 236-5, with Adam Mitchell striking an unbeaten 61 and Andy Davis 58, but the home side reached the target in the 41st over for the loss of three wickets.

Goatacre are still top of Premier Two (2nd XI) despite their third defeat in four games at home to Gloucester City Winget.

Goatacre racked up a competitive 277-7 in 45 overs thanks to 97 from Mark Hunt and an unbeaten 75 from Steve Baker.

However, Gloucester reached their target in the penultimate over with six wickets in hand.

Warminster remain near the foot of the table after a crushing 109 defeat at Chard.

Amritpal Singh took three wickets as Chard reached 287-8 in their 54 overs and, despite 69 from Ankit Shastri, Warminster were dismissed for 178 in 40 overs.

Biddestone had the better of the Glos/Wilts (2nd XI) derby with Chippenham, crusing to an eight-wicket success.

Chippenham reached 172-7 in their 45 overs, Matt Coles with 35 as Phil Knight took 3-43.

Knocks of 63 not out from Matt Unwin and 82 by Liam Boulton got Biddestone home in 33 overs.

Potterne remain on top as their batsmen again made hay, this time at Rockhampton.

Skipper Jamie Hayes scored 124 and Sam Gaiger 159 in their huge 352-4, to which Rockhampton could only reply with 225-9, Oliver Jackson, John Bramwell, Hayes and Jack Bramwell each taking two wickets.

Trowbridge remain winless at the foot of the table as they lost to Dumbleton by 88 runs.

There were two wickets each for Ritesh Pal and Pete Andrews as Dumbleton reached 260-6 in their 45 overs.

Only Dave Reynolds with an unbeaten 73 held up for the home side, who reached 172-8.

Marlborough remain on the trail of the leaders as Raghuveer Tupurani's 60 helped them, surpass the 215-9 set by Hatherley & Reddings, for the loss of six wickets.

Marshfield remain at the head of the Wiltshire (2nd XI) Division after a 206-run win over Devizes.

James Roper's 106 and 85 from Colin Sinkins formed the backbone of Marshfield's 288-6, Thomas Stoner and Ed McQuaid each taking two wickets, and Devizes were all out for 82 in reply.

Winsley remain on the leaders' tail after a dominant batting performance against Great Bedwyn.

Edward O'Leary/s 188, including 31 fours, plus 46 from Ged Roddy and 43 from Dominic Alsop got Winsley to 321-1.

Bedwyn reached 227-8 before the close, Joe Blundy with 63 as Alsop and Tim Merrell both took two wickets.

Calne upset the formbook against contenders Nationwide House, who were dismissed for 162 as Thomas Brewer took 4-31 and Dale Goss 3-18.

Henry Lee's 75 lifted Calne, who still needed a late unbeaten 29 from Robin Batson to get home by one wicket.

Burbage & Easton Royal were dismissed for just 88 by Lechlade, who reached their target inside 16 overs.

Westbury were also beaten, by 42 runs at home to Purton, who reached 248-7 with David Allen scoring 88 and Osmond Shallow taking 3-56.

Kane Scott scored 51 for Westbury, who got to 206-6 as Farhaan Khan took 2-18 and Pattrick Whittaker 2-34.
