CORSHAM Town kicked off their pre-season schedule by putting Andover New Street to the sword last weekend.
Trevor Rawlings’ men romped to a 6-0 victory over their Sydenhams League opponents at the Southbank.
Elsewhere, Rory Collins scored twice as Devizes Town beat Hellenic League Clanfield 4-2, with Robbie Mitchell and Tom Price also on target for Justin Webster and Darran Walters’ side.
Chippenham Town boss Mark Collier saw his side beaten 2-0 at his former club Swindon Supermarine whilst there was a happy return to Toolstation League Gillingham Town for Frome Town chief Adrian Foster.
Tom Golledge netted a brace whilst former Swindon Town striker Mark Francis was also on target in a 3-0 victory for the Robins.
Calne Town’s friendly clash with Trowbridge Town and Bradford Town’s home meeting with Southern League Larkhall Athletic were both postponed due to last weekend’s wet weather but Pewsey Vale were in action at Hellenic League Newbury, where they slipped to a 3-0 defeat.
Nick Maggs’ side have been handed a home clash with Isle of Wight outfit East Cowes Victoria on the opening day of the new Sydenhams League Division One season on August 9.
The following Saturday (August 16), Vale host Toolstation League Sherborne Town in the FA Cup extra preliminary round.
