SWINDON reserve Steve Worrall dropped just a single point as he won the prestigious Golden Hammer event at Cradley this evening.
Worrall managed 14 points from his five rides, taking the title ahead of Kyle Newman who scored 13.
"I'm over the moon. Now I'm a Cradley rider and with the form I've been in I was desperate to win it, so I'm so happy I pulled it off.
"I didn't have things all my own way tonight and I wasn't making great starts, so I feel like I really earned it and I'm delighted to have come out on top.
"It was a great night and things are going so well for me at the moment. I'm on the crest of a wave at the moment so hopefully it won't stop any time soon."
