SWINDON’S Pete Townsend took the top honours at the Avon SCC match at Portman and Scotland Road on the River Avon on Saturday.
Townsend claimed a roach catch weighing 10lb 10oz, taken on pole-fished hemp, to finish first.
Bob Davies, also from Swindon, took the runner-up prize with a roach catch weighing 9lb 4oz, taken on pole-fished casters.
Robin Guy from Melksham took third prize with a perch and eels catch weighing 8lb6oz.
