URCHFONT motocross rider Catherine King doesn’t think that she’ll be put off as she returns to the track where she lost the tip of one her fingers .

The 19-year-old severed the tip of her right middle finger when she fell at the Farleigh Hungerford Castle track during last year’s Amateur Nationals series. Now King is returning to the same tracknext month.

“Everyone keeps asking me if I want to do it but I’m really not worried,”she said.

“I think that when I get on to that start line I’ll forget all about it.

“This season has been going quite well. I finished third at Warmingham Lane a few weeks ago and I’ve got the girls’ nationals in September too.

“I also ride for Devizes and I only need two more points to become an expert rider.”

King was recently sponsored by Brogans Cafe. The Urchfont speedster is also sponsored by MX Zone and City Fitness, of Melksham, Mike Wood Tyres, of Devizes, Retrogravity Clothing and Christopher Robin.
