CHIPPENHAM seamer Nick Harrison will be released by Worcestershire at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old made his debut for the Pears in 2011 but has gone on to make just three first-class and seven List A appearances.

Former Chippenham, Corsham and Wiltshire youngster Harrison joined Worcestershire’s academy as a 15-year-old and signed his first professional contract at Worcestershire in 2012

Worcestershire chief executive David Leatherdale said: "It is always hard when players contracts are not renewed, but it is hoped by informing Nick early he will have the best opportunity to find another County as he will be available to play during the remainder of this season if an opportunity arises."
