WESTBURY were unable to make the most of a promising first half in their Dorset & Wilts One South opener.
Despite conceding an early try, the home side fought back and, when the ball was moved wide, full-back Koro Sitiveni hit the line at pace.
A couple of phases later, lock Will Newell powered over the line and Jack Brooks converted.
Sherborne regained the advantage with a penalty, but Westbury went back in front when Brooks landed a penalty.
A loss of concentration before the interval Sherborne their second try, which was converted for a five-point lead and, in the second half, Westbury had little ball but defended stoutly.
Sherborne though, added two converted tries and a penalty to wrap up the points.
